Rodrigo Veloso

Rodrigo Veloso is a Portuguese Artist based in Brooklyn, New York. With a Master's degree in Architecture, Rodrigo pays special attention to texture, where the oil pastel is the key element in his work. He's interested in different cultures and ways of thinking, nature, human figure and the relation between both. His practice is very much influenced by his travels to territories very different from his home, from South America (Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina) and Africa (Egypt, Mozambique) or even New York City. These experiences shape his body of work. After his master's and internship with ARX Portugal as an architect, he decided to focus on his individual journey as an artist. He is based in Brooklyn, NYC since September 2021. Rodrigo has exhibited work in Lisbon, New York, Paris and Madrid.
